Laura Heller is senior director of ad sales research at Crown Media Family Networks, home of three linear networks, Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama; subscription video on demand streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now; and e-book publishing division, Hallmark Publishing. Based in the company’s New York headquarter office, Heller reports to Kristen Roberts, executive vice president, pricing, planning and revenue management.
In this position, Heller is responsible for supporting the ad sales department by supplying research materials such as rating estimates, ratings tracks, and competitive spending. As part of the ad sales pricing and planning team, Heller supports both the research department as well as ad sales marketing to project actual ratings on multiple data streams. In addition, Heller analyzes competitive and daypart ratings and assists the ad sales department with high-priority sales presentations. She also lends data assistance to Crown Media’s parent company, Hallmark Cards, Inc.
Heller joined Crown Media in 2013 as the director of ad sales research, earning a promotion to senior director in 2017. Prior to joining the company, Heller held research analyst and consumer insights roles at both AMC Networks and Viacom. As an avid participant in the cable industry, Heller is a member of WICT, ARF and CTAM. Heller holds both a bachelor’s degree in political communication from The George Washington University and a master’s degree in social research from Hunter College.
