Field Garthwaite is the Co-Founder and CEO of IRIS.TV, the leading personalization and video programming platform. Since inventing the core technology behind IRIS.TV in 2010, Field has led the company to provide video publishers with software and lightweight APIs that enable them to personalize the streaming video experience based on user’s preferences and behavior across all platforms and devices. His background inside media companies and tech providers has help to provide unique insight into the challenges facing the industry and how to better manage and monetize digital video.

Prior to IRIS.TV, Mr. Garthwaite worked with Rubicon Project to develop tools to handle massive volumes of ad tag and metadata and solutions and workflows to move operations from manual to automated processes. He spent a year as an Assistant Editor for the Emmy award winning PBS documentary "Girls on the Wall" and before that, was a Research Assistant at Universal Pictures. He has also held various technical positions at Machine Project, HBO and Columbia Records. Mr. Garthwaite holds a BA from Pomona College with a focus on Art, Media and Technology. IRIS.TV is a cloud-based personalized video programming system that allows publishers and content owners to generate more video views and engage users across all devices.

The company’s product suite is designed to increase video consumption and simplify operations for web, mobile, and OTT video distribution. The IRIS.TV Video Programming Platform integrates with existing video players using artificial intelligence and adaptive machine learning to automate streaming of personalized content based on audience preferences, user interaction, and behavioral segmentation.

IRIS.TV has hundreds of customers across the world that rely on the company’s video programming platform to keep their audiences watching. IRIS.TV’s product suite is used by hundreds of publishers and broadcasters around the world including Time Inc., CBS, Telepictures, Tronc, Hearst, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard. Prior to IRIS.TV, Field worked in digital distribution, data architecture, and video for companies including HBO, Universal Pictures, Rubicon Project and Jukebox TV. Based in Los Angeles, IRIS TV's investors include Sierra Wasatch, BDMI, Progress Ventures and individual backers including Machinima founder Allen DeBevoise, Lionsgate CFO James Barge as well as senior executives from GE, Nielsen and AEG.
