Director, Advanced Audience Solutions
Gregory Friend is director, advanced audience solutions for Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable. In this role, he helps design, build and launch innovative audience-focused solutions for planning, executing and measuring cross-platform video advertising campaigns. He first joined Comcast Spotlight in 2016 as director of digital data strategy.
Greg has 10 years of experience in digital and cross-platform data and research. Prior to Comcast Spotlight, he was director, strategy and media for Ansible, a mobile marketing and advertising agency. In addition, Greg served as senior manager, media solutions for Collective, now Visto, a programmatic advertising company. In this position, he led research, product marketing, data and vendor partnerships for the media business. Greg was also manager, measurement and insights for Collective.
Previously, Greg was manager, global product marketing for advertising effectiveness and product manager, digital integration for Nielsen, where he managed the global launch of digital advertising measurement products and was responsible for driving audience measurement initiatives. He began his career as client solutions associate with Nielsen’s Emerging Leaders Program.
In 2016, Greg was recognized as runner up for the ARF’s ARF Outstanding Young Professionals Award. He is vice president of the associate board for Urban Initiatives, a nonprofit that empowers Chicago’s youth to become community leaders through academic success, healthy living and social-emotional learning.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, philosophy and integrated marketing from Northwestern University. He resides in the Chicago area with his wife.
