Hortensia Quadreny is Vice President of Programming and Planning Factual & Lifestyle, responsible for overseeing Warner Bros. Discovery's content and programming strategy and management across the U.S. Hispanic (USH) and Latin America (LATAM) markets.
Under her leadership, Warner Bros. Discovery USH and LATAM's compelling slate of groundbreaking original programming and acquisitions has set new landmarks. These include helping with the launch of Lifestyle Networks in Latin America, the broadcast of local versions of “MasterChef,” and the trailblazing renovation reality series “Juntos en Acción.” She was also involved in the recent rollout of the streaming platform Discovery+ in Brazil and the expansion of 10 FAST channels for the U.S. Hispanic market. Quadreny’s tenure has also included the management of three U.S. Hispanic Networks and 11 LATAM networks, overseeing content output that delivers over 3,000 hours annually.
Quadreny started her career as an intern for the USH team, swiftly ascending through the ranks and taking on roles in Programming and Sourcing & Acquisitions before assuming her current position.
Her academic background includes studies in Broadcast Journalism, Sociology, and Anthropology. She is a recipient of the John Hendricks Innovation Award. An objective- oriented leader, Quadreny constantly asks, "Why?" and "Why Not?"—fundamental questions that help her view challenges and ventures from different perspectives.
