Daniel Alvarez is Vice President of Product & Design for NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, a division of NBCUniversal that includes 42 NBC and Telemundo stations, and two multicast networks.
 
A product leader with more than 15 years of experience building mobile products, he helps teams navigate the intersection of media and technology.
 
At NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, he leads a team of Product Managers and UX/UI Designers that aim to create the best digital experiences for local NBC and Telemundo audiences. Before joining NBCUniversal, he served as the Head of Product and Design at HuffPost. Before this, he held various product and engineering roles at AOL, Nextel International, Motorola and Verizon International.
 
He is also a Product Management Instructor at General Assembly, a member of the Advisory Board for the Design Thinking Program at Rutgers and a Global Mentor for WeWork Labs.
 
He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela. In his spare time, he enjoys competing in Ironman triathlons.
