Cynthia Hudson is senior vice president and managing director of CNN en Español and CNN Hispanic strategy. Hudson oversees all aspects of CNN's Spanish-language media business, including newsgathering, editorial content, programming, production, operations and staffing of CNN en Español 24-hour television news network, CNNEspañol.com and CNN en Español Radio.

CNN en Español has an extensive bilingual staff in several production centers, including Atlanta, Miami, Washington DC, NY, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Jerusalem and Madrid. Under Hudson's leadership, CNN en Español has won 11 national Emmy Awards, six GLAAD Awards, four Promax Awards, and was recognized with the 2018 PromaxIMPACT Award given to a cultural influencer for her work and continued IMPACT on multicultural awareness, embracing and engaging diverse audiences within the entertainment marketing industry.

In 2010 Hudson led the most comprehensive evolution of CNN en Español when she joined CNN and launched CNN en Español's multiplatform business with expanded signals for Latin America, Mexico and the US Hispanic market, in addition to renewing the logo, the brand and programming. She also added studio production in Miami, expanded production in Mexico, Washington DC and Los Angeles. Hudson incorporated new talent and successful programs such as Café CNN, Conclusiones, CNN Dinero among many others, and launched original production documentaries, investigative series and live programming.

In 2011, Hudson relaunched CNNEspañol.com and refocused resources to develop CNN en Español's main Spanish-language social news platforms on Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, among others. Additionally, she expanded the radio business to include affiliates in the US Hispanic market, Latin America and Europe. In 2014, CNN en Español began its multi-platform brand sales strategy that led to the development of experiential coverage of large-scale events, including the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Panama and Peru, the Olympic Games, SXSW, Viña del Mar and CNN en Español’s award-winning election coverage in more than 30 countries. In 2018, Hudson expanded CNN en Español's TV and digital operations in Argentina and Mexico and expanded the role of Multiplatform Content across all platforms to continue the brand's digital and social growth.

In the first quarter of 2019, Hudson launched CNN Radio Argentina, a radio network available in 120 cities and 23 provinces throughout Argentina.

Hudson has been recognized with countless industry awards, including the Presidential Award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ); an International Emmy Award nomination as Executive Producer of the documentary A Journey with Fidel ;  the 2018 Leading Ladies of Entertainment Award from the Latin Recording Academy®; recognition by Fortune magazine as one of the 50 most powerful Latinas running a leading global company; as one of the communications industry's most influential minority leaders by Cablefax; and the Lech Walesa Media Award for his dedication to the cause of democracy, among many others. During the 75th General Assembly of the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA), she was appointed a the member of the Board of Directors.

Born in Los Angeles, she holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Communications from the University of Miami.
