Tony Hernandez is a filmmaker, media executive and author. Most notably, he is the creator and founder of the Immigrant Archive Project (IAP), an endeavor that has evolved into the nation’s preeminent oral history project, dedicated to capturing the modern immigrant experience.
Established in 2008, the IAP has documented thousands of stories, garnered a number of prestigious national awards and most recently was endorsed by the U.S. Library of Congress, positioning it as a cornerstone of cultural and historical importance.
Mr. Hernandez is also the President and CEO of Latino Broadcasting Company, a leading multi-platform content provider specializing in Latino targeted programming. Prior to launching LBC in 1996, Mr. Hernandez served as Vice President and General Manager of ESPN Latin America, Vice President of CBS Radio Networks, and General Sales Manager of SBS NY.
Tony serves on the board of the University of Miami’s Cuban Heritage Collection.
