Bio

Doris Vogelmann has over 25 years experience working on the Television Industry.  She started her career in Lima, Peru in 1989, where she worked on the production team of a popular children’s program in her country.  From there she moved on to produce children’s programs in Ecuador and Chile. In 1991, she received her BA in Communications from Universidad de Lima, in Lima-Peru.  In 1992, she moved to the United States to further her education and in 1994 received her Masters of Arts in Telecommunications from George Mason University.  That same year she joined the International Division of Discovery Communications in Bethesda – Maryland and was later transferred to the Miami Offices in 1995.  During her tenure at Discovery she performed key roles on the launch of all of its Latin American Networks.  In 2007, she joined Vme where she has been an important part of the programming strategy for all of their networks – Vme, Vme Kids and Primo.  She was recently tasked with overseeing the On-Air Promotions Department as well as the production of all of Vme Media’s original programming. Under her leadership, Vme produced the new season of their parenting series TuBebe, as well as the development and production of the new hit series Vivir Vale la Pena.  During the last couple of years, Doris’ work and expertise on TV programming has been recognized by the industry by being asked to serve as a final judge of the International Kids Emmy’s for several years as well as Promax and BDA Latin America Awards.
