Dan Hurwitz, a veteran in the technology innovation space, joined Penthera in 2017. He is charged with continuing the company’s global growth as it works to transform the mobile video industry.
Hurwitz has worked extensively with both start-ups and mature media companies. His areas of expertise include refining sales strategies, P&L oversight, and product and revenue stream development for mobile and video. He is an industry thought leader, too, and has written on topics including OTT video and viewer experience for AdAge, Cynopsis, MarTechAdvisors, and many publications.
Before joining Penthera, Hurwitz was CRO at Gonoodle, Inc., a media company that develops child-focused movement and mindfulness videos to foster better health among youth. He was also previously the CRO at Evergage Inc., a SaaS company that helps digital marketers increase engagement and conversions through personalization for web users.
Hurwitz has also served in executive sales positions at MapMyFitness, Inc., Ninth Decimal, Sirius XM, AOL, About.com, NBC Universal Media LLC, and more. He serves as a strategic advisor and investor in various tech startups. Hurwitz has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
